I am interested in knowing what type of playlists you have set up and what your favorite playlists contain. If you don't care to type an entire list, just give me a few of your choicest selections. I'm open to any and all suggestions that you might have.

I haven't organized my iPod yet. Yikes! Now I'm motivated. Happy St. Patrick's Day.

I don't have my iPod with me (the horror) right now, but to tell you the truth I haven't explored the whole playlist thing very much. I do have one that's got basically a ton of songs about loss (of one kind or another), including:
Fake Plastic Trees - Radiohead
Pink Bullets - The Shins
The Bed's Too Big Without You - The Police
Black - Pearl Jam
All That You Can't Leave Behind - U2
Train in Vain - The Clash
Don't Think Twice It's Alright - Bob Dylan
Tear Stained Eye - Son Volt
I Am Trying to Break Your Heart - Wilco
Gun - Uncle Tupelo
Here - Pavement
and many more...

I love playing with my playlists!
I save my "top 25 played songs" on a monthly basis and create playlists of "January Faves" and "February Faves" etc. I have a Hair Bands playlist, with selections from Bon Jovi, Poison, and Guns N' Roses. I have one called "All Time Faves" that just includes about 15 of my absolute favorite songs. Then I have some segmented out based on mood or purpose -- "Got a Good Beat" is uptempo stuff that's good for walking, cleaning, the gym. "Sad Songs" is self-explanatory. "Girl Power" is about 25 songs by cool female artists. And so on.
Enjoy! Playlists are a great way to explore your own music, and discover ways that it all fits together and fits your own mood!

Cube: A Belated Happy St. Pat's to you! I was totally slammed with work and did not even have a second to post an Irish greeting.
Mass: Thank you! I will definitely give your suggestions a listen.
Stef: Love the hairband list! I do think I need a high-energy list for when I get on the elliptical, which is currently collecting dust in the basement. Time to get back on it before summer arrives.
Thank you all for taking the time to give me your insight. I appreciate it.
